Miracle Monday

When we take time to reflect upon the countless miracles that happen, visible or veiled, you have an increased sense of expectancy and hope.  Then these daily miracles become teachable lessons since miracles imprint a higher level of awareness which can easily change the quality of our life.

Every day contains opportunities, some call them miracles.  I have decided to concentrate on Monday miracles since it is an active means of attracting new bounties.  This focused awareness on Mondays, or any other day, canonizes a refreshing river of joyfulness and spirit mind.

Join me in creating intentional Monday miracles.

Here is the suggested process:

1. Wake up (regardless of the time of the day) and meditate. Wake up and feel alive. Take 10 minutes. Really get down deep into your internal awareness and meditate on what you want.

2. Come clean. Really clean up any lingering mess. Ask for forgiveness, forgive yourself and disallow negativity.  Then take the time to refresh your inner happiness; tap into your passion and enjoy the moments where you were funny, joyful, spiritually uplifted, attuned, in your natural zone of expression.
3. Quiet down. Take a few minutes on Mondays to quiet external noise and allow yourself to experience quiet peace.
4. Clear Your Focus. Clearly, vividly, expressly focus on ONE thing and only ONE thing every Monday. The next Monday you may choose to shift your focus to another thing or remain focused on what miracle you want to manifest.
5. See the end. Magnify your miracle.  See your finish point. Be in the scenery and experience all of the expressions that accompany embracing your Monday Miracle.

This process may require some practice for those who are beginning to manifest on Mondays, but in a short time, with direct commitment, you will accelerate through these steps with ease and purpose.

In celebration of my Mom’s eightieth birthday, I have a joke for you:

An elderly woman was beaming as she walked around the mall. Someone stopped and asked her what is the secret to her happiness.  She told her, today is my birthday and my children gave me a SUVsunflower seeds, unlimited talk card and vitamins.  They know me well; i love seeds, talking and staying healthy.

Life Well Shared

I coincidentally read the spine of the Reader’s Digest (large print mind you) for the first time at the same time I was recalling how fantastic my life is and noticed the tagline for the magazine “Life Well Shared.” What an awesome way to mark our purpose in life – to share and share well. My life has been shared with people and animals who have enriched my soul, without which I would not be the woman of care that I am. My parents, grandparents (whose legacy I honored by writing Snakes Don’t Bite in the Cotton Field), brothers (two now deceased but still connected through my prayers and acts of service that I dedicate to the progress of their souls), girlfriends and male connections which round out my present-day presence. Each shared experience enriches who we are, even the “negative” ones. Uncomfortable, negative situations, as well as positive interactions, are teaching tools that may become blessings that help us to mature and get to know our true nature. So, in the bigger scheme of life-whatever you encounter and whoever you end up sharing space and time with-no matter how minute can become instructive. A life well shared can take on many, many dimensions.

You may share the love of a pet(s) or share the love of your life or share a brief moment with someone that becomes a catalyst for significant change. These charged moments, when you feel heightened emotions or a higher sense of being, actually are breakthroughs for change.

When you dig deeper into the stories of people who impress you, it is likely you will find that they too were impressed by something or someone that shaped their being. For instance, Michael J. Fox is on the cover of this particular issue (May 2010) of Reader’s Digest that I was reading. The title of the article is “What My Illness Taught Me.” In the article Michael J. Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991, says he practices acceptance and gratitude each and every day. His third book, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future, tells how he learned to live in the moment with those who share his life and the bounteous lessons learned. He says, “You will find that even the gravest problems are finite, and your choices are infinite.”

There are a plethora of stories about people who understand the power of infinite choice. Make time to read these life mastery stories, or even write your own, to permeate the awareness that we have much to share.

I am reminded of the story of the laid-off Pennsylvania school teacher who shared his life with teens when he started a string orchestra for youth in the neighborhood or the now quadriplegic woman, who was once a dancer, who teaches her “kids” dance and life choices from her wheelchair. Another power story is of a family in Stone Mountain, GA – the Habeeb’u’llah’s – who for the past sixteen years volunteer as youth mentors in a program named Project Azania and Umoja Souljahs in the community sharing self-empowerment using African-American history .

Make every encounter a treasure, make each experience golden, make your life and every life you share a rich trove of precious charm.

Miracle Monday

Every day contains opportunities, some call them miracles  so I have decided to adopt that terminology and concentrate on Monday miracles since generally is the start of the week.  Consider with me how much you may impact your life this week by starting the week aware of miracles (or opportunities) that can manifest any day of the week.

I now ask you to join me in creating intentional Monday miracles.

Here is the suggested process:

1. Wake up (regardless of the time of the day) and meditate. Wake up and feel alive. Take 10 minutes. Really go down deep into your internal awareness and meditate on what you want as you.
2. Come clean. Really clean up any lingering negativity.  Ask for forgiveness, forgive yourself and disallow negativity.  Then take the time to refresh your inner happiness; tap into your passion and enjoy all of the moments where you are funny, joyful, spiritually uplifted, attuned; in your natural zone of expression.
3. Quiet down. Take a few minutes on Mondays( and any other day) to quiet external noise and allow yourself to experience quiet peace.
4. Clear Your Focus. Clearly, vividly, expressly focus on ONE thing and only ONE thing every Monday. You may choose to shift your focus to another thing or remain focused on what miracle you want to manifest the next Monday or on another day, but it is vitally important to have a singular focus at this time.
5. See the end. See your finish point. Be in the scenery and experience all of the expressions that accompany embracing your Monday Miracle.

Funny Friday

Laughter really is the best healing medicine.  Oftentimes we take ourselves and circumstances to serious and assume a harsh response, but you do not have to live life uptight and defensive.  Lighten up!  Laugh out loud!!!!

Acceptance

There are times when you must say I accept – as it is.  It does not matter what you nod your agreement of acceptance to, the pivot is that you simply accept.  No valuation.  No evaluation. No nothing, only acceptance.

Acceptance, really of ALL things, is the staff of a happy, serene life. Grant yourself permission to accept the things you can or cannot change.  The Serenity Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr asks us to live one day at a time, to enjoy one moment at a time and to accept hardships as the pathway to peace.

Take a moment to reflect on all of the words in The Serenity Prayer as part of your active acceptance today and you will find that your perception of the world around you will likely be more peaceful and serene today, and you will find too that you cannot help but view your own circumstances from a calm, rational perspective.

Serene acceptance will serve you well anytime that emotionally charged aspects of your survival, such as health struggles, finances and family or employment or any other obstacle comes into your space of mind.  Acceptance of all things, especially when tested by difficult situations and circumstance, will powerfully influence or direct your choice to live assured of inner happiness.

With inviolable acceptance your response to frenetic discord or confusion will  mean that you will likely stay in a peaceful, rational zone.  Your down to earth acceptance will provide you with the peace of mind you need to think carefully about the many real truths that are available to support you.

If you stay peaceful and serene as you climb every obstacle, when your heightened emotions debase your true presence of calmness today, you will easily find that you can chart a practical response and course of action that best suits the outcome you need more directly.

Adopting acceptance ensures that our ability to judge our options is not disturbed by the intensity of emotion one experiences when coping with the obstacles that come into our lives.  Obstacles are inevitable; they are part of our DNA makeup (quoted from the book Climb Every Obstacle: Eliminate Your Limits!).  But, exercising the control of peaceful, total acceptance allows you to respond to the natural feelings of fear, anger, disgust, with reasonable, fact-based rationality.

Consequently, because of acceptance of all things and situations you will more readily instinctively examine the best way to proceed and be at peace.  Your inner happiness will be quickly restored as you begin to relate present circumstances to your ability to control the influences of choices that will affect your future.

Today your choice is to maintain acceptance that will govern your serenity now in the present and in the future, regardless of the state of or duration of chaotic upheavals.

Choose acceptance. Live one day at a time. Enjoy one moment at a time. Accept that temporary hardship is a pathway to peace; acceptance is a blessing in disguise that teaches us to have more inner happiness, faith and confidence.
