Miracle Monday

America the resilient. This is what I felt after watching many of the tributes to those who lost their lives and those who responded with heroic courage on 9/11/2001. We are resilient people and this nation is resilient –  God bless us all.

We are blessed – salute that within your heart. I am so grateful for my girlfriend Monica who stopped by to share her love with me. She came bearing gifts – a lovely candle (which I needed) and a packet of sachet pillows for my drawers (stop laughing I mean the furniture kind) this past weekend. It felt so good to just sit and talk for a while which as a residual from our friendship time together set up beautiful flowing happiness for me all weekend long. Love you Monica!

That act of spontaneous love sparked other miracles. Being this is miracle Monday think about what acts you have done that may have made somebody else happy and probably precipitated residual joy for them. What kind act from your heart have you done for someone else lately? Share it with us, please. The reason is that giving to others without expectation of reciprocation is a miracle magnet.

So let me ask again: What kind act from your heart have you done lately?

Do one or more random act of kindness for someone else today. Just do it and make this your Monday Miracle.

“I have found in life that if you want a miracle you first need to do whatever it is you can do – if that’s to plant, then plant; if it is to read, then read; if it is to change, then change; if it is to study, then study; if it is to work, then work; whatever you have to do. And then you will be well on your way of doing the labor that works miracles. ” ~Jim Rohn

Miracle Monday

Everyday contains opportunities, some call them miracles.  Thus, I have decided to concentrate on Monday miracles since it is an active means of attracting new bounties.

I ask you to join me in creating intentional Monday miracles. Here is the suggested process:

1. Wake up (regardless of the time of the day) and meditate. Wake up and feel alive. Take 10 minutes. Really get down deep into your internal awareness and meditate on what you want. Recommendation: CD: Meditation-Be Still by Barbara Faison (www.barbarafaison.com)

2. Come clean. Really clean up any lingering mess. Ask for forgiveness, forgive yourself and disallow negativity.  Then take the time to refresh your inner happiness; tap into your passion and enjoy the moments where you were funny, joyful, spiritually uplifted, attuned, in your natural zone of expression.

3. Quiet down. Take a few minutes on Mondays to quiet external noise and allow yourself to experience quiet peace.

4. Clear Your Focus. Clearly, vividly, expressly focus on ONE thing and only ONE thing every Monday. The next Monday you may choose to shift your focus to another thing or remain focused on what miracle you want to manifest.

5. See the end. See your finish point. Be in the scenery and experience all of the expressions that accompany embracing your Monday Miracle.

This process may require some practice for those who are beginning to Manifest on Mondays, but in a short time, with direct commitment, you will accelerate through these steps with ease and purpose.

Begin today…right now.
Manifest your Monday right now and let us know the result….Be well, be clear, and expect miracles.

Monday Miracle

Look around, see and feel your miracle today.  Although every day is filled with opportunities for growth, inner happiness,  intention, faith, and stronger life management it has been validated throughout time that when we focus our sight and feel the outcome of our needs and goals, a miracle happens.  So, the strength of the instruction for today is to start now – this Monday – to create and magnify miracles.

Some feedback I have been getting since posting a weekly exercise to manifest a Monday Miracle offer that the post does not take into account the presence of God in our lives. Consider this, God is omnipresent and omnipotent or the spirit of divine assistance, using whatever name you choose to ascribe or not, is as personal as your name and existence. You are uniquely you. This is an inviolable truth. None like you before your entry into this world and none exactly like you after you exit this world. Thus, your personal relationship with God or spirit can never be unwritten, so use whatever internal governor you need to propel your miracle, but allow this focused concentration exercise to amplify what is rightfully yours to manifest.

“Man is a growth by law, and not a creation by artifice, and cause and effect is as absolute and

undeviating in the hidden realm of thought as in the world of visible and material things.”  ~James Allen

Think with absolute focus today, manifest your miracle.

Be you!

TODAY’S MANTRA: I am the director of my life. I create miracles.

Miracle Monday

When we take time to reflect upon the countless miracles that happen, visible or veiled, you have an increased sense of expectancy and hope.  Then these daily miracles become teachable lessons since miracles imprint a higher level of awareness which can easily change the quality of our life.

Every day contains opportunities, some call them miracles.  I have decided to concentrate on Monday miracles since it is an active means of attracting new bounties.  This focused awareness on Mondays, or any other day, canonizes a refreshing river of joyfulness and spirit mind.

Acceptance

There are times when you must say I accept – as it is.  It does not matter what you nod your agreement of acceptance to, the pivot is that you simply accept.  No valuation.  No evaluation. No nothing, only acceptance.

Acceptance, really of ALL things, is the staff of a happy, serene life. Grant yourself permission to accept the things you can or cannot change.  The Serenity Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr asks us to live one day at a time, to enjoy one moment at a time and to accept hardships as the pathway to peace.

Take a moment to reflect on all of the words in The Serenity Prayer as part of your active acceptance today and you will find that your perception of the world around you will likely be more peaceful and serene today, and you will find too that you cannot help but view your own circumstances from a calm, rational perspective.

Serene acceptance will serve you well anytime that emotionally charged aspects of your survival, such as health struggles, finances and family or employment or any other obstacle comes into your space of mind.  Acceptance of all things, especially when tested by difficult situations and circumstance, will powerfully influence or direct your choice to live assured of inner happiness.

With inviolable acceptance your response to frenetic discord or confusion will  mean that you will likely stay in a peaceful, rational zone.  Your down to earth acceptance will provide you with the peace of mind you need to think carefully about the many real truths that are available to support you.

If you stay peaceful and serene as you climb every obstacle, when your heightened emotions debase your true presence of calmness today, you will easily find that you can chart a practical response and course of action that best suits the outcome you need more directly.

Adopting acceptance ensures that our ability to judge our options is not disturbed by the intensity of emotion one experiences when coping with the obstacles that come into our lives.  Obstacles are inevitable; they are part of our DNA makeup (quoted from the book Climb Every Obstacle: Eliminate Your Limits!).  But, exercising the control of peaceful, total acceptance allows you to respond to the natural feelings of fear, anger, disgust, with reasonable, fact-based rationality.

Consequently, because of acceptance of all things and situations you will more readily instinctively examine the best way to proceed and be at peace.  Your inner happiness will be quickly restored as you begin to relate present circumstances to your ability to control the influences of choices that will affect your future.

Today your choice is to maintain acceptance that will govern your serenity now in the present and in the future, regardless of the state of or duration of chaotic upheavals.

Choose acceptance. Live one day at a time. Enjoy one moment at a time. Accept that temporary hardship is a pathway to peace; acceptance is a blessing in disguise that teaches us to have more inner happiness, faith and confidence.

Manifest a Monday Miracle

Work toward a Monday miracle.

What I have learned is that you can manifest whatever you want in your life. After hearing from many of you asking advice on how to manifest more miracles (goodness) in your life, it is time to devote one day a week (Mondays) to teaching you how to attract goodness into your life.

You are the only person to determine what “goodness” means to you – it could be a car, a mate, a resolution, a breakthrough, an increase, a reward, an awareness, a release, a promotion, a flight…it can be anything! It can be whatever you want or need to manifest or come into the present as a gift to you.

Whatever “it” is, it is yours.

Everyday contains opportunities, some call them miracles, but I have decided to concentrate on Monday miracles since it is an active means of attracting new bounties.

What is Love?

Woody Allen makes a point here:

“To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But then, one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be happy, one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness.”

Whether you think Woody Allen’s comment is funny or not does not matter (I think it is privately humorous), the question here is what is love?

American relationship/marriage statistics are alarming (if you choose to focus on the divorce probability) unless you counterbalance those data numbers with heart memories. This is one reason I often refer to a book written by Julie Rainbow, Standing the Test of Time, that debunks the myth of divorced, dysfunctional Black families as she tells the story of Black couples who have been married fifty years or more and are still standing together.

I have other reasons for my knowing about love, my parents. My parents were married 53 years (until my Dad’s death in 2008) and his last words on this earth were to my Mom, saying “I love you.” Their eternal bond taught me something.

Adding another personal note, now that I have eulogized two brothers, one my twin, but both whom I loved deeply, I had to ask myself what am I learning about life through this experience?  I have been taught that love is a jewel that sparkles as brightly as you do. Well, I want to dazzle because that is the type of love that I want before I leave this earthly plane!

I have learned that “love” endures pain. It is an unquestioned face that relationships that mark years of longevity face pain. Even so, the pain of infidelity, disaster, trauma, or other disruptive issues do not destroy the core of love between two people who are devoted to each other.

I have learned that “love” smells different. Sometimes love stinks. But, like you learn to love your baby’s poop, love is the reason. Other times love smells like a fragrant rose, scented by time and passion. Love among two people may smell different from time to time, but each smell you learn to love.

I have learned that “love” ages. The longer you bottle love the more of an aged bouquet it has. Time and stillness together can create a bonus of a barrel of savory love.

What love is is individual. My impression of love is distinct from yours and you can bet yours is distinct from mine. When I was younger I equated love with lust, thus a divorce as soon as the hots cooled off. Now after taking years of celibacy instruction to heart, I have learned that even though love may lead to suffering, I’ll suffer any day for the aged, sweetness of love.

Live and Not Be Weary

If you are reading this post then you are alive. But, are you living? Better yet, have you checked your life pulse to see how you are living lately?

Well, it’s time to do so. Take some pause time today, preferably right now before something else pops up to distract you from this critical business at hand. I promise you that starting this “How You Are Living” inventory will only take a minute or two, but it may well be the most critical few minutes you will spend with yourself today.

Okay. Are you ready? Is the television, telephone, and computer off? Shut everything down for a few minutes and only have an open listening ear for the internal answer you will receive.

Next, do this:
1. Speak out loud a positive affirmation. If you are not already doing this, make it a multiple use habit to repeat your affirmation every day.

2. Speak out loud one thing that you are grateful for right now. There should be a plethora of things that come to your mind, but isolate just one for now.

CAUTION: If you are struggling with finding your gratitude point, it is little wonder that you are weary. Re-cast your focus immediately from the frenzied chaos that is blocking your inner peace and find something for which you are grateful. Do it now and then proclaim it out loud!

3. Give yourself some praise. I am sure you find it easy to praise someone else (and if not begin to work on offering more praise to others). Women especially may find it difficult to hug yourself with honest, intentional praise but you will find this easier to do with repetitive practice . Stop the ego-tripping and give yourself some praise. Whew! You feel better already.

4. Take a deep breath and stay with these moments of inner richness. Bask in the glow of positive hearing for a few more seconds and then slowly re-introduce yourself to the external life; you may find it easier to do so when you start by listening to soothing music or humming a nice tune to yourself. Then turn back to the computer and other daily necessities feeling stronger and refreshed.

Repeat these exercises evveryday. Soon the routine will become so habitual that you will not end a day without living.

I compliment you and honor the soul-rested you.
Live your life, who has time to be weary. You don’t!
